Patrick was strolling with his friends, chatting and laughing, when a strange flicker caught his eye. He turned quickly, hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever it was, but saw only empty space. “What was that?” he murmured aloud, puzzled. His friends, two brothers, glancing around, shrugged—they hadn’t seen anything unusual.
But something had shifted, even if none of them realized it. Their casual jeans and T-shirts had transformed into elegant 1960s-style dresses, complete with tailored waists, flared skirts, and vibrant patterns. Patrick now wore a classic pearl necklace and matching bracelet, glinting softly in the sunlight. They continued their walk, oblivious to their change in attire, until they began to feel a subtle discomfort in their feet.
Patrick glanced down, confused by the unexpected ache, and noticed they were all now wearing heels. He blinked in surprise, but before he could say anything, a strange sense of nostalgia washed over him, as if they belonged in this strange new look, in this moment, without questioning it.
